T.G's are Transformation Groups. They're a way for you to "Experience Life with God today!" They're not quite a bible study and they're not really a community group either. T.G's are a unique way to experience scripture from the bible and a real way to grow spiritually. T.G's are gender specific groups of 2-4 people. Once a group grows past 4 people it splits, keeping each group personal and intimate.
You and 3 others (Believers or not) meet somewhere such as a coffee shop, restaurant or park once weekly. You and your group decide which scripture you're going to read that week and when you come together you'll talk about what you've learned and how it is effecting your life.
In a T.G you'll learn how to:
Listen to God!
Through his scripture and spirit, we try to read 14 chapters twice in one week. 1st time for context and a 2nd time, listening to God's spirit teach you (asking him, "What are you teaching me? What are you telling me to do?").
Do it!
Write down anything God teaches you. Trust him and do it.
Live Pure!
Avoid alluring material or inappropriate thoughts.
Practice integrity with yourself and in dealing with others.
Live generously and
Avoid giving in to any addictive behaviors.
Then confess. Confessing to God and your group helps you with accountability and encourages you to make changes.
Join God!
Talk to God about those apart from him.
Do good for others, expecting nothing in return.
Tell others about life with God through Jesus.
