What is Catalyst?

The Catalyst Church Network is a network of House Churches. The House Church model isn’t new, but rather, it's one of the first models of Christian Churches. (1 Cor. 16:19; Acts 20:20, Romans 16:5, Colossians 4:15, Philemon 1:2).
Because the House Church model is simple and small, it has advantages and disadvantages. Since the churches tend to be small, it allows for more personal interaction during teachings and discipleship.
The House Church model has little need to spend money on operating costs. There is no building to pay for and no staff payroll. It is to our advantage that the majority of tithes can go right back into helping love people and meeting the needs in our community.
Because this model is small, we don’t have things that traditional church models might have, such as children’s ministries or a band. Children are there with their parents during the whole church gathering.

This model allows for us to focus on being the church (The Ecclesia or the "Called out one's" ) every day rather than going to church once a week. It also allows for more intimate fellowship, as we share our homes with each other, share meals together as a family, and explore the truths of Scripture, working these truths out in our lives.

Catalyst studies and learns to live out Scriptures of the Holy Bible. We believe that it is God’s Living Word, and it transforms people’s lives from the inside out. We are Christ followers, and we live our lives commissioned by Christ. We encourage all believers to live missionally, and try to help one another love others in our world as we share the message of Christ. If you’re interested in “Igniting Spiritual Transformation” within yourself and the people around you, we urge you to pursue after Christ and to follow his examples.
If you’re not sure how that’s done, you can call or text us at (757)752-8793 or text LifeWithGod to 31996.
